Support FLM FWD
Sign Up to Volunteer!
The Festival will recognize our volunteers publicly on our website, Facebook, and Instagram with a shareable post of appreciation. Below, please find the areas in which we would appreciate your volunteer support. Remember if you are a student (or know of one) in need of volunteer hours, FLM FWD would be an excellent opportunity!
Community Ambassadors
We need volunteers to help support our mission and our community year-round. Roles range from community organization ambassadors to social media posting, to just informing the people around you about our events and activities.
Hospitality Ambassadors
During each event, we need 20 people 18+ who have experience with the public. Their job will be to help visitors with basic information and provide a network of assistance in problems. These volunteers will all receive a small manual outlining the information, be part of a training session before the event, including learning how to work their walkie-talkie. During their 'shift,' wear a shirt identifying them as part of the FLM FWD staff. Each volunteer will cover a certain area of the event.
Muscles
During each event, we need 6 students or others who are physically fit and strong to help us load and unload trucks and help move things.
Runners
During each event, we need some young ambitious 'gophers' who want to shadow the organizers during the show. They will work with/meet the board members, organizers members of town government, film jury, etc. Must have their own car, cell phone, and laptop.
Kids Event' Facilitators
During each event, we have leaders for kids' events, but we need more help. You must be 18+ and have experience with children.
Check-In
This is a ticketed event. During every event, we will have volunteers at the entrances to the Town Hall property (or our event venue) checking in attendees. Most visitors will have their registration on their smartphones.

Become a FLM FWD Sponsor
Website & Social Media
We will be posting on our Facebook page facebook.com/flmfwdfestival.
We will have Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok & Youtube accounts and we will be posting content from our festival, sponsors and partners.
We will be providing them with content for their social media accounts and hope to update the content multiple times a week as we gain traction.
We will also be using social media strategies to capture a following specifically for the purposes of promoting pre-ordering of meals ahead of time and thanking our sponsors before and after the event
Our sponsorship levels will include many of our different media opportunities described below, according to the level of in-kind and cash participation in our initiative. We are fundraising both to cover many costs for elements that we will be able to reuse for future festivals, such as banners, website, map development, signage, other reusable materials, etc. As well as some costs that will be annual such as the cost of a jury for the film festival, renting the outdoor screen (could be a covid related expense), etc. Sponsorship levels will include a 'founding sponsor' designation, which will only offer this year for the first festival on this theme.
The Benefits of Sponsorship
Mailing List & Outreach
Even though our event is free, for purposes of estimating demand and dealing with changing covid regulations, attendees will have to reserve a ticket. This means that we will be capturing their emails. These free tickets with a suggested donation will be offered through Eventbrite. This platform is also a useful tool for other forms of attendee outreach, not only for ticket sales.
Press
The festival is being previewed in the Barrington Sound magazine (July edition) and there will also be a follow-up in the October edition.
Signs in Local Businesses
We will be producing a poster for all of the businesses in town to put up in their window. We are looking for 1-2 dozen locations for a large, attractive poster featuring our map and activities (a draft map is at the beginning of this document) . We are also going to be making a small handout to be distributed in shops in town.
Press Relations
Press: relations: We will be issuing a press release including all of the sponsors, and contacting WPRO/WPRI/WJAR, Prov Journal, Barrington Times (East Bay Papers) Barrington Patch, etc. and expect a good reaction also due to the interest in Barrington from the arts content and the diversity perspective.

We are working to build a network of as many local community groups as possible to host information booths about their programs. Barrington has welcomed a large number of new residents over the last few years, many of whom are curious about the town and eager to meet your organization!
We're proud to announce that we have our 2022 Community Partner Roster live on this page. If you're interested in being a part of this, complete the form below!
